Three volumes giving basic information for the study of geography organized into stages.
Each stage is built up as to solve a basic problem and it is structured as follows:
- the problem is introduced by a map and a section with the questions leading the study;
- the itinerary describes the journey proposed, that is to say the problem is analyzed, the method and the geographical instruments to understand the problem are given, the place object of the study, that is a European country, an Italian region or a country of the world is chosen as an example of place on Earth where the problem becomes manifest;
- a vocabulary explains geographical key words;
- colour photographs, charts and thematic and physical maps help the student to follow the study;
- at the end of the discussion of each problem a balance tests the comprehension and acquisition of the most important concepts;
- a final forum develops some aspects of the problem through different voices and opinions so as to help to understand it.
The three volumes also include:
- an exercise book regarding Italy and its regions, with a particular analysis of the region in which the student lives (territory, economy, art, traditions, society etc.)
- an atlas presenting each Italian region, European country and geopolitical area of the planet with political, physical and thematic maps, photographs and charts;
- a teacher’s book with the solution to all exercises,
tests and extra activities.
