ZENIT

ZENIT Volume_picc

By R. De Marchi, F. Ferrara and G. Dottori

How would it be the world if we could see it from the zenith? Certainly as a whole, and that is the idea of this book, that is to say it puts in strict relation the most important geographic questions to physical and anthropic features of the five continents to give students a complete vision of the planet.

The main instruments used for this study are maps presenting at first sight terrestrial coordinates of the matter under discussion:

  • The European identity
  • The Globalization
  • North and South: the underdevelopement
  • The Population of the World
  • The World of Economy
  • Natural Resources
  • A Planet in Danger
  • A World of Towns

Then each topic has got a closer examination through the study of the matter, a forum for discussion and a test.
The volume also includes:

  • an atlas presenting political, physical and thematic maps of each continent with photographs and charts;
  • a teacher’s book with tests and extra activities related to the maps.
